Interact Support is a not for profit with a mission to help families experiencing conflict to resolve them peacefully, respectfully and collaboratively.
Our goal is to prevent family violence and if it has already occurred to prevent future incidents of violence, abuse or neglect.
We do this through a number of innovative services that make help available when and where people need it (as long as they have access to technology) throughout Australia.
Interact Family Law Consultations are an opportunity to have a private and confidential coaching session with a family law professional.
Our goal in the session is to reduce the overwhelm and confusion that most people experience when they come into contact with the family law system and family conflict.
During the session the practitioner will:
- help you to quickly review the past that has brought you to this point so that you are clear about the relevant "family law vital statistics"
- ask you what are the urgent issues that you need to resolve right now and what you would like the situation to be 12 months from now
- discuss with you the options you have open to you (based on where you are in the family law system at the moment)
- assist you to establish a goal and goal plan to achieve your goals for yourself and your family.

Q. Is this a legal advice session?
A. No. The session is a contextualised legal information and goal setting session. Instead of being given a big lump of information that may or may not be relevant to you the practitioner will help you to understand the options that you have.
Sometimes it is clear that you need to get some specific legal advice. If so the practitioner will help you to work out the questions you need.
Sometimes you need help to work out a plan. The practitioner will help you with that as well.
Q. What does it cost?
A. An Interact Family Law Options Consultation (FLO consultation) costs $198.
If you can't afford that we have limited hardship provisions available.
